어린이들의 상상력을 예술로 펼칠 수 있는 창의적인 활동으로 초대합니다.

✔ 워크숍 소개

푸른 숲 속을 걷다 보면 코알라가 인사하고,

밤하늘 별 아래에는 나만의 집이 떠오르기도 해요.

아이들의 상상은 어디까지 펼쳐질 수 있을까요?

상상의 세계 Imagine World는

아이들이 구상한 상상의 세계를

손으로 직접 만들어보는 예술 체험 워크숍입니다.

지관통, 박스, 천, 전통 한지 등 다양한 재료를 활용해

자기만의 세계를 표현해보는 시간이에요.

호주의 자연 소리,

유칼립투스 오일의 향기,

따뜻한 조명이 어우러진 공간 속에서

아이들은 마치 상상 속 세계에 들어온 듯한 몰입감을 경험하게 됩니다.

이번 프로그램은 두 작가가 원격으로 협업하며 개발한 아이디어를 바탕으로,

호주의 페넬로피 작가님이 전주를 직접 방문해

어린이들과 얼굴을 맞대고 함께 작업하는 아주 특별한 기회입니다.

Children's Art Workshop

Imagine World 상상의 세계

As part of the 2025 Jeonju Australia Culture Week,

Australian artist Penelope Bartlau and Jeonju-based artist Summer Green invite children to join a creative adventure where imagination becomes art.

Come explore a special artistic journey at Palbok Art Factory!

✔ Introduction

As you walk through a green forest, a koala might say hello.

Under a sky full of stars, your own dream house begins to appear.

How far can children’s imagination go?

Imagine World is a hands-on art workshop

where children build their own imaginary worlds using their creativity and curiosity.

Using a wide variety of materials — cardboard tubes, boxes, fabric, and traditional Korean hanji paper —

they’ll bring their personal visions to life through touch and play.

The sound of Australian nature,

the scent of eucalyptus oil,

and warm, gentle lighting

create a sensory-rich space that helps children feel like they've stepped into a dream of their own making.

This workshop is based on a creative concept developed remotely by the two artists.

In 2025, Penelope will travel to Jeonju to meet and create with local children in person — a truly special opportunity to connect imagination across cultures.

Dates

May 3 (Sat) – May 4 (Sun), 2025

Two sessions per day (total of 4 sessions)

- Morning Session: 10:00 – 11:30

- Afternoon Session: 13:00 – 14:30

Participants may choose one preferred date and time.
